I think we do why not, but there are alot of Americans that are a little stupid and will vote just to not have a colored president. I think we have a better chance right now to have a white woman a president.
I do not think a REP. would place a black OR Asian on the ballot, simply white America( the stupid ones will come out of the wood work just to votes against) so the DEM. Willl have a great chance to wil and vise verse.

No one is NEEDED or ENTITLED for this reason. We need the best qualified person. Would I vote for Colin Powell or Condoleezza Rice if they looked like the best qualified when the time comes to make a decision? Absolutely. How about Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? Now them I don't need.

I say yae because its not right if only one race gets to represent their country while theyre are many people who were born there and are intellectual and intelligent about becoming into the presidency, if that happens we would have a better country as long as they dont have any scandals or crimes to them

as a white person, i could care less what race the president is. however, minorities would care. for example, if condoleezza rice ran for president, even though she is black, she would get about 15% of the black vote, if even that, because they dont really consider her black. african-americans dont really want a black president, they want a liberal black president. big difference.

I would hope that color woudn't be a deciding factor in an election. Though, I have to admit it would...

i don't think it could hurt... personally... i don't care what color he (she) is... as long as they are doing their job: serving the public, looking out for the people of their country... not in it for a profit... but in it for the good of humanity.
i don't care if the person is blue... if they are working to help the poor, sick, and needy... then THEY are the person we need.
