A couple of weeks ago my hero, president Bush was in town [Milwaukee] to support another good republican. Across the street was a group of commie liberals protesting so I threw out the middle finger as I drove by, was I wrong?

I wouldn't say that you were wrong, but myabe next time you could express yourself in a more educated way. When people give the middle finger I get the impression that they're too incompetent to come up with any sort of argument. Of course I don't really care for the job that GW is doing, but that is beside the point. Oh and you're a moron for calling protestors communists. I doubt very much that you even know what communism is.

Do you want to represent your hero by being the sort of person who flips other individuals off? If you really believe in the Republican party, and you want others to see your viewpoint, then it would be better to disagree in a more respectful manner. Otherwise, people might get the wrong impression about Republicans...

LOL
Well you were not threatening so I think the bird is a comment which falls under opinion.
Wrong, no. Crass yes but, I wouldn't sweat it. I think it is a human reaction sort of like GW's four letter comment last week to Putin.

Hey! My screen is starting to dissolve because of the vitriol dripping from Krista's comment!!! Ooohhh! It burns!!!

i don't think of it fairly concerns interior the end. If someone is a homophobe he will be a homophobe, no hasbian, bisexual, pansexual or some thing else is going to sway that sufficient to make a huge difference. If human beings favor to attempt with their sexuality or can no longer help that they are interested in both sexes then you really ought to easy techniques to settle for it. If the GLBT community won't be able to stumble on techniques to settle for each of the aspects of out own community, how do we ever assume the heterosexual community to settle for us all?

Nope. Freedom of speech. It doesn't just apply to speech they like or speech that you like.

Are your opinions the right ones? Depends on who you talk to. I don't think so.

Is flipping somebody the bird a mature means of disagreeing with their political position? No.

Someday you guys may limit that to just speech you like. As far as I can tell that's a modern conservative's dream. It's also the end of real freedom and democracy.

Yes you were wrong. Liberals are the ones serving your country, and ensuring you get to keep your freedoms, not your own commie president, the rat who is anti freedom, anti provacy, anti women etc.

no way, you aren't wrong. you have the same freedom to express yourself as those protesters do even if you do want to support something that is such a lost cause. Send a prayer up to saint jude on this one.

I am one of those "commie liberals", but I am always glad to engage in intelligent and reasoned discourse. Consequently, I am quite touched, indeed overwhelmed by your eloquence.

You expressed your opinion and displeasure without violence. And without overt intimidation.
It was democracy at its lowest, but within the acceptable range of human behaviour.
