I am in a state of shock! The women shook themselves in ways I have never contemplated. I had to leave I was embarassed. Is this the new trend?

"shook themselves in ways I had never contemplated" - I can't even think of what that would be???

A foot shimmy??? :>

I think that there are people who are really just as someone else said "basically having sex on the dance floor" - but on the other hand, everyone has most of their clothes on - and some of them actually do seem to know that they are in a public place -

I'd LOVE to know what it is that you saw that you had never contemplated!!!

Strange thing curiosity!

Many of the so-called "new moves" have been around since sex was invented. Dancing is sexual. 'Dirty dancing' is the blatant expression of sexuality.

Our 'inhibited' suppressive broomstick-up-the-bum society has historically tended to 'be ashamed' of sex because it was considered 'dirty'. Any 'hip movements' or pelvic thrusts, rubbing together, etc. was severely frowned upon as 'suggestive' and 'dirty'.

The ultra-religious right , including alternative religions such as Islam tend to want to suppress everything and everybody to THEIR extremist self-righteous 'ideals' which are not normal at all.

However, in this age of reduced inhibitions, the real moves that are tending to show up are becoming more common as people feel more confident about expressing themselves.

you shouldn't be embarrased though. we all have our own way of dancing so who cares what the other women do? when you dance you should feel beautiful, if you do then thats all that really matters. lets not make dancing all about 'trends' as well.

This is completely foolish. It is probably new in your dusty redneck part of town but women have been shaking their behinds for decades. My uncles have told me many stories that have help mold me into the man I am today. Silly woman .... learn to move your hips and shut your mouth. NOW DANCE !!!

i think grinding has been around since the 90s. but i also know that more and more risque and so called "obscene" dancing has been trending towards this since the 20s when they raised their skirts to above-the-knees around the time of prohibition

Hahaha, yes, moves have certainly changed nowadays compared to years ago. I can understand your shock and yes it is the "new" trend, to be vulgar and leave others in disbelief.

if your going out to a club or a party or school dance you'll find that that is the new style of dance. it's pretty much only brought on by people being very horney

Pretty much has become blatant simulated sex. I personally don't consider dry humping and fake masterbation to be a dance form.

I don't think it's that new, women as well as men have been dancing pretty provocatively for some time now.
