In word all pictures are stored as picture objects. Select View> Web layout in word. What you can do is open word click on image. On doing so the image will be selected, right click on it copy and then open Ms Paint, paste and save images with names you want.

right click on the pic and if a new tab opens up it should have a send to on it pick a spot and send it there from the place you put it you should be able to move it to a folder

in MS-Word select the picture and click on edit menu-copy then open MS-Paint then click on edit-paste. then save the file as jpg or as bmp. your problem is solved.
