My own rankings would be (from WC 2002 to now):

1. Brazil (1 defeat in a major competition, does not hide their achievements in the Copa, Confederations Cup and 2002 triumph)
2. Italy (World Champions are definitely top 3 material)
3. Argentina (Have such a powerful squad, but just cannot deliver at the crucial moment)
4. France (as finalists)
5. England (based on team strength)

6. Spain (had a good unbeaten run until they 'choked' with France)
7. Germany (although their World Cup record has been maintained, they have failed to beat a major power in 5 years, unless you count the 'friendly 3rd place play-off' with Portugal)
8. Portugal (Scolari has made them hard to beat, but finding goals was always a problem)
9. Mexico (Has improved a lot, the team is comparable to European standards)
10. Holland (Moving slowly in the ascendancy)

11. Czech Rep (Slipping into decline)
12. Ivory Coast (A very tough opponent)
13. Switzerland (A young team brimming with confidence and team-spirit, also a very tough nut to crack)
14. Cameroon (The usual suspects from Africa)
15. Turkey (Missed qualifying by a nose. Very hard to beat at home)

Sweden is an ageing team, as are Greece. Romania has a talented bunch of young players, as do Nigeria.
The USA is thereabouts with Croatia, Belgium and Korea.

World Cup Ranking

1. Germany (Surprised the whole host nation with a wonderful performence, and finally beat a world class team, Argentina)
2. France (Opened weak, but preformed better every match)
3. Holland (I felt like they would get pass Portugal, but I was disappointed about being wrong)
4. Argentina (Almost gave me a scare that Germany would lose, but thier coach basically ruined any chances of beating Germany)
5. Mexico (They were a very good team)
6. Spain (A great young team that needs to age a little)
7. Brazil (Disappointing, but still showed a semi-good performence)
8. England (Disappointing and very lucky, but still semi-good)
9. Ghana (A dark horse that has a bright future ahead)
10. Italy (They were good, but played dirty football when football skills were not enough)
11. Sweden (Gave enough to go into the Round of 16, but then just seemed to quit)
12. Portugal (Semi-good but played dirty football like Italy, but not as much as Italy)
13. Ivory Coast ( A disappointment they did not come out Group Stage, but they have a bright future)
14. Czech Republic (Gave a good performence on thier first game, but then quit)
15. Ukraine (Surprised everyone, and Ukraine is on the road to becoming a world class team)

Based on their performance and entertainment value at the World Cup?

1. Argentina (beautiful play, unlucky against Germany)
2. Italy (lucky draw, but deserved wins all the way)
3. Spain (unlucky draw in the QF against France, brilliant tho)
4. Mexico (against Argentina they were amazing)
5. Germany (brilliant throughout, a big surprise)
6. Brazil (boring play, but such quality anyway)
7. Portugal (too many dives and elbows, otherwise great)
8. Ghana (such spirit.. and then some!)
9. Czech Republic (ah, lacking in spirit this round)
10.Ivory Coast (should've won against Netherlands)
11.Sweden (good few matches, but no match for Ger)
12.Australia (tough, resilient and great debut)
13.Japan (same goes for them)
14.England (yawn, another long ball?)
15.Ecuador (not only good on high altitudes)

The Netherlands are not on the list for gross misconduct and boring play totally against type. I'm Dutch, but I loathed them anyway. And as France let Switzerland win their group, then took at the most interesting teams by boring them to death - they're not on my list either. Romania, Nigeria, Senegal and Ireland would have been on my list, had they qualified.

I put on the list only teams that participate last WCup. There is, probably, few countries that are deserved to get top 15.
