When you are at the national level, do you think they are concerned about that at all? Do you think they only have one home jersey, one away, two pairs of shorts, one pair of shingaurds, two pairs of socks, and one pair of cleats like little kids do in youth leagues? This is the NATIONAL level. Governments are proud of their teams, and more than happy to help provide gear. Do you know how much Ghana got for beating the Czech Republic. A bit more than a lot of people make in a year. Plus there are sponsors who are more than happy to get their name out there.

Yes. They don't usually use the same shirts that they used previously for other matches. In the world cup for instance, all the match gear are customized with the teams that are playing as well as the date and/or time of the game they are playing. Hence, even if they had not exchanged shirts there would still be no way of re-using the gear for a different game. It really isn't all that expensive either. None of the players actually have to pay for the gear themselves it's usually the clubs that pay for them.

They change their jerseys every single match or sometimes they use more than one jersey per match. They don't need to buy one. They have sponsers like adidas or nike which will supply them all the jerseys they need.
even if they had to buy it themselves it wouldn't bother them cos one week's earning would be enough to buy jerseys for all the matches in their career

somtimes, players even change thier jerseys at half time.
now that, is what you call, the beauty of having sponsers.
of course they would need a hell of a lot of jerseys.
