i moved around in highschool a lot so i have never had anthing stable and it was always hard adjusting. i'm going to college where i dont know anyone (plus it is my 2nd choice so i'm sad about that). i have to get really good grades so i can transfer to my 1st choice so its not like i can just hang out and do nothing. also i wont have my car which makes things harder. i'm not trying to complain and i know it sounds stupid, but im worried that if i dont get off to a good start, it will just suck. i'm not a loser lol, ivejust had a few bad years.

don't worry, in college everyone is in the same position in the beginning regarding friends. Plus, you'll be around people 24/7 and friendships will form quickly and easily.

Believe it or not, you are in a good position to start college. If your most pressing need it to make good grades so you can transfer, then you don't need friends on the first day of school. Also, having a car is a diversion from your goal. If you have the car you will use it to get away from your studies. Other people will learn that you have a car and bother you for rides. Don't worry about not having friends. There are lots of others there in the same boat. What will make the difference is how to get friends. Most people wait for someone else to make the first move of friendship (which is usually a smile, or "hi"). If you want to make friends quickly, be the first to say "hi", and smile at people. People are attracted to others that are friendly and open enough to say HI. Be polite, say hi, and bury your nose into the books! All will be good. Good Luck

its o.k. to be nervous am a super nervous person when i first went to college i was very nervous, you are not the only one, there are many people like you. when they start college some come from out of town many don't have vehicles but you all are there to make a better life for yourself, i took the bus everywhere cause i didn't have a car, many of your new classmates won't have cars but its o.k. if you stay in college you will end up driving a bmw or better stay in school and hang in there, you made a great decision, just hang out in the library or stay on campus and chill out, good luck

I can see where you are coming from,. but keep your sight on your end goal and that will help you get through. You are looking at all the negative points, what about all the nice people and new friends you will meet, that must be a plus .Try and keep positive even when it gets hard,it will all turn around for you.
