Why were the Israeli soldiers kidnapped to begin with? Why is Hezbollah a terrorist group? For centuries, Jews have tried to find a place where they can live and be left alone in the midst of the Arab world. Israel has been around since 1948. If people just got used to the fact that Israel isn't going anywhere, then maybe a peace could eventually come about. Religion is one of the most destructive entities in the world and causes so much hate and killing. We are all human beings, after all. Why must the labels separate us?

Well if by inocent people you mean Lebanese, then why does the Lebanese people let fundamentalist elements like the Hezbollah thrive in their region. Exterminate Hezbolla and the people in the Gollan Heights will live in Peace and harmony. In the same way exterminate the Hamas and the Palestinians will have peace too. Eventually the Arabs and the Israelis will live side by side in peace.

As I see it the Lebanese being a very young country do not have enough resources to exterminate the Hezbollah. And the resourceful Arab nations like Iran, Syria, et al are not helping any by pawning the Lebanese people to make trouble in the region just to get back at Israel.

There are a lot of well educated Arabs who know this but fake blindness in the face of Religious fundamentalism.

Why don't all the learned get together and root the fundamental evil out of their political systems in the middle east?

Unfortunately you have misunderstood anything you have learnt in school if you believe Lebanon is a very young country. In fact if Israel and USA did not plot for the break up of the Levant (Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and part of Turkey), we are talking about a country and region well poppulated continuously since the Mesopotamia (we are talking about thousands upon thousands of years of inhabitation, living SIDE by SIDE with Jews and Muslims and Catholics without war of any sort. They had plumbing, medicine and other knowledge way before the west, and never needed SAVING from their miserable tribal ways because they were never miserable or tribal. The Golan Hts belongs to Syria as was agreed by the UN law, so dont give anyone more misinformation then they really need. The Lebanese are innocent, they did not start the war. They did not invade ANY country for any reason. Their country was torn apart by YOU KNOW WHO from the first invasion. When you destroy a countries infrastructure and law you leave it under civil unrest. Now that it was regaining its self, YOU KNOW WHO has attacked it again. Why cant a group of people who's parents children and relatives who have been killed by YOU KNOW WHO, take up arms and protect their country, loved ones and homes by creating Hamas, and what ever else there is there, which by the UN law, is a legal entity and are legally freedom fighters against the invading countries. Research history, research the news, research what is happening now before you pass on more garbage to brainwash the herd out there who have no knowledge of anything other than what people like you tell them. At that time there will be a start to the peace process and perhaps in a decade or so, this trinkling of truths will leak to your dishonest governments and once again people can live in the region side by side in peace as brothers.

This war is blanketed by 'religious fundamentalism' but in fact it is just MURDER and crimes against humanity. When war will hit you, what will you do when you see your loved ones die around you, when you see your house blow up with all your possessions? You wouldnt care what religion they were, even if they were your own. Im sure you will want to give it back to those who did it! Its as simple as that.

Before they do a raid, on a certain area, they drop leaflets, telling the people to get out of the area. When the terrorists send a missle into Israel, they don't care what it hits, that's why so many innocent people are getting killed in Israel!!

that is an irrelevant question. Israel does not claim a right to kill innocent people and you know it. They are going out of their way to warn people to leave the areas Hezbollah is in and doing their darnedest to keep "innocent" losses as low as they can. That is different than the people they are fighting who just lob rockets over and over into a city to land wherever they want. Don't think that is quite the same is it?

Hezbollah carries most of the blame for the Lebanese deaths and for the Israeli deaths.

If a person visiting the zoo decides to reach over and chop off a tiger's toe and then hides in a crowd of people, then that person is responsible when that tiger tears through the surrounding crowd of people as it tries to reach the person who injured it.
And don't expect the tiger to wait around to be cut to pieces bit by bit! The tiger has a right to defend itself!

The Lebanese government shares some of the blame for allowing Hezbollah to do all that they've done, on Lebanese soil.

Where did the word terriorist come from in the first place. What happened to the term "hostile combatants". I've heard people on here say that Palestinians hide in neighborhoods with their families, etc., and its their fault that innocent lives are killed. Well then lets make the odds a bit more fair.....let's let them have a military, let's give them tanks to hide behind and planes to soar over people's heads. The fact of the matter is that an independent Isreal is given a mandate not only by the Jews but by many Christians as well and therefore it is supported at all cost to all other people. I am a Christian but I cannot convince myself that God intended an independent Isreal at the expense of all other people who have a vested interest in the holy lands. Here we sit in the US with people from all nations, all races and cultures but we can't seem to convince others in the world that there is a way to get along. I know its not perfect here in the US but I haven't seen any tanks rolling from one state to another. Personally, I'm sick of it. I sit and watch Isreali's sitting on their balconies watching the sun set or in well constructed underground bunkers while I see Palestinian children big eyed because their either hungry or scared to death to go to sleep at night. But okay, let's blame the groups that don't have any other means to be heard or assert their rights than to stoop to drastic measures for attention because as we all know when it comes down to it, "might makes right".

They do not have the right to kill innocent people.....however, how do you fight a war where the people you are fighting use them for cover....The military does not hide in home of the innocent....terrorists do........why do you make a big deal of this....when the enemy is dropping missiles into cities, no where near a base of the military? In other words, they are attacking civilians, because they can not win going head to head with the armies.....you tell the terrorists not to be with their families, and not to bomb neighborhoods, places of business....and have bases, and not hide under women skirts.....then the innocent will survive much better

First off, I'm not an Israeli supporter.
They don't have to kill innocent people. But they do. But then you all knew they'd do that and you pissed 'em off anyway.
The whole scenario over there is like having a huge hornets' nest in the yard next door. They're over there minding their business and you're in your yard minding yours. You know damn well that if you start throwing rocks at that nest and stirring things up that you will piss off those hornets and they will come over and sting your a$$ and get you back a hundred times over. What do you do? You throw rocks at it, they come over and sting your a$$ and then you complain about it.
That's what happened over there. You all KNOW IN ADVANCE Israel will come back with a hundred times over the firepower. And yet Hezbollah cannot resist the temptation to start a war. Quit your bitching. You asked for it.
