Maybe some people. But with others I think they don't really think about why they would feed fluffy 100s of dollars worth of dog food and take them to a pet spa costing in the 100s or 1000s, and doggy day care costing I don't know what, but when they see starving children and homeless people they pass by every day with the comment "get a job" or look the other way. It makes no sense to me.
For example, the street that I used to work on got gentrified. The surrounding neighborhood remained very poor and most of the people living there was black. The gentrified block however had so many ritzy restaurants and clubs that white people started to come from neighboring states to hung out there. My gripe was that they even had a pet store where they would stick a lunch menu out every day for for the pets. I was really disgusted esp. because there was still so many people that were homeless and children that barely had anything to eat in that area. I have no problems with developing areas that are run down. I just think with that development, everyone, esp. the community members that lived there all their lives need to benefit. Especially if people have all that excess money to pamper their dogs, why not just get foo foo a 5 dollar bag of dog food and make sure the gentrified area hires people in the community for a decent wage?

All people are created equal. If a Black Guy and a dog were stuck under a bus that was sinking in the ocean and you could only rescue one I think people would still choose the black guy.
People who actually care about what race you are and treat you better or worse then others for that reason, are freaks and have something wwrong in the head

Actually Shawn, I don't care how you feel about me personally. That is a racist comment. Why are black people targeted? Why couldn't you say people rather than point out a group?

Some people care more for animals than humans full stop. Kind of understandable. They dont judge you and are uncomplicated beings that bring great pleasure.

I care more about my dog, (black, brown, and white) than I do about a lot of people, skin color has nothing to do with it.

Any time your question begins: "Do some people....." The answer is always yes. Why? Because no matter how sick and twisted you think people are someone will always be worse.
