Well, you can stand up for peace by doing the following things:
*Talk to your friends/family, etc. about spreading the word about how violence is wrong
*See if you can get a spot on local media, like TV or radio, then talk about your goal of peace
*Attend anti-war rallies
*Write letters to the government
*Talk to people about why war and hatred are not OK.

You can actually request for an interview in CNN or any major tv station showing your concern on world peace. You can also volunteer yourself in UN in your own speciality to promote the upbring of the world

So long as anyone wants to initiate force against another for any reason there will not be peace. This includes forcing someone to give up their hard earned money (taxes), forcing someone to not put certain things in their bodies (drug laws), forcing someone to live by the ways of your religion, etc.

Start editing a blog. If you update it regularly, it might get many readers and interest will arise. Finally, even newspapers or TV channels might start referring to what you write.
