ive got a pc game called the davinci code and my pc wont play it , it says havent got the right display adapter? and aborts it? when i try to launch game !

A display adapter is the poshname for a Graphics Card. Your computer has a circuit board called a Mother Board. This holds the brain (processor) of the computer. Another circuit board can plug into the mother board (They are changeable!!!) called a display adapter which is responsible for the display output including all that is seen on the screen, words, pictures, games etc...You probably need a faster, more powerful Graphics Card!

Display Adapter is a Translator between Monitor (Analog) & CPU (Digital) Devices. Without Display Adapter Monitor will not be able to display images, because Monitor only knows analog language & CPU only knows 1 & 0. This Adapter is Bridge between both devices.

display adapter means the integrated video or AGP card that you are using on your computer. it is giving you the error because of the hardware specification to run the game, doesnot meet your systems configuration. so you need to upgrade your system with appropriate AGP card.
