Unfortunately however much people think he was a racist a lot of what he said was true. History will in the end prove him right. Sad but face reality and look at the way we have allowed illegal immigration to develop. We need to control it now and put right the last 9 years of Blair and his miss use of the Human Rights act. Let us enjoy the mix of race and culture we have today and close the door that will give the far right ammunition.

Enoch was one of the few politicians who spoke their mind and never changed it to what public opinion and the rest wanted, rather like Tony Ben for the Labour party, he was right because while called a racist he was merely stating the obvious. What happened in the likes of Kenya and the rest of Africa is the same, the majority eventually decided that enough was enough and started a campaign to remove the unwanted minority. However it does not always end well, Zimbabwe being an example.

Yes, he was spot on.

He wasn't a racist, he simply said what would happen in the future. He said that we would have to many immigrants entering England (which we have) and the English would become the minority (which we are).

Why is it that anyone who says we don't want any more immigrants to enter this country are racists? What about counties like America, Australia, Thailand and many more. You cant just enter these countries and get free handouts, homes, clothing and food.

I would like to see a complete stop on anyone coming to this country to live, no matter what their colour of skin, religion or origin.

I don't mind paying tax if it's being used to improve our country, schools, heath. But not so someone can come to this country and live off my hard work for doing nothing. IT'S NOT RIGHT

It seems so but if he was a man of great vision, as drydreamer would have us beleive then we wouldn,t be in the situation we find ourselves in. Enoch was a member of the administration that brought in the first imigrants, which surely means it was OK while they could be exploited to do the crap jobs on the cheap but once they managed to get a level playing field i.e. equal rights etc. he distanced himself from them. Typical tory! once you are no use anymore get rid, ask Thatcher they did it to her.

I don't think he was ENTIRELY right but then again he wasn't ENTIRELY wrong either.
We do appear 2 B buckling under the strain of an influx of both Good & Bad migrants/asylum seekers.
If his opinion had been listened 2 we would have lost out on some of the smartest/wonderful people, who made it here & happily prospered.
He was a Tad Racist & was Very Unwelcome.

How depressing we're now back 2 Race Wars.

1. It would help if you could tell us what he said/wrote or provide us with a reliable source for looking it up.

2. Since he said/wrote lots of things I might agree with some and disagree with others.

So, without details, I'd have to say, "Sometimes".
