If it were a desktop computer to computer connection, I've heard that you can use what is called a "crossover" cable that looks just like a network cable but it has the wires in a different configuration. When you tie the two computers together this way you in effect create a two computer network. Then your transferring of files would be pretty straight forward. This process should work the same on two laptops that have network cards installed. You have to do some software stuff with each computer so that it knows that it is now on a network, but otherwise, that is it. If you don't use a crossover cable you would have to use a network hub device between the two computers. Google around for specific information on this or use your computer's help file to learn more about setting up a network between two computers. Good luck.

Copy the files to a cd or dvd and then copy the files to the other laptop.
Also a program called lap link will do it for you.

you could send them over by blue tooth or by a wireless or wired network but you can also by usb to usb leads and they are very fast at sending data from one PC to another
