when the red cursor is blinking on yahoo pool on eight ball pool how do you switch it to another pocket

You click the hole you want the 8 to go into

Really the only way you actually get to choose is if the person before you scratches. Then you get to place the cue ball in the position of choice behind the line of course and that may give you some advantage as to which hole the 8 ball lands in.

Generally choose the pocket that isn't being obstructed by other balls. You can choose any pocket you wish. Once you have chose your pocket, tell your opponent where you will be hitting it in. Then if you make it in, you win. However, if you make the ball in another pocket you automatically lose. If you don't make it in any pocket, play continues and you repeat the process on your next turn .

It depends on what game you're playing. If you are playing "last pocket" the choice is made for you. Otherwise, pick the pocket that you can make the easiest shot with.

usually whichever hole is closest to the ball, also depends on where the cue ball is and what angle is needed to make the shot.
