i dont no, but i think two cents is a good deal because usualy people say "a penny for your thoughts" then for 1 penny, the thinker gives 2 pennies back. thats a good deal!

Because they know that even though their advice is valuable, the ungrateful person receiving it will not value it more than 2 crummy cents.
So they are humble and call it 2 cents to begin with.

if its worthless and they calll it 2 cents then usually it means they know it wouldnt be that important to your problem so they say 2/100 cent, if it was actually helpfull then they could say 100 cents, or 75 cents,
