Who said, " A truly intelligent man is one who admits he knows nothing" Give me name, and time it was said...

If anyone knows the answer don't say....

For the record:

I make no apologies for what I know as fact, period.
I make no apologies for what I have yet to learn, period.
I make no apologies for my mistakes, I am learning, period.
I make no apologies for seeking knowledge, period.
I only apologize to those whom I hurt along the way, period.

its just something that we (the so called intelligent people you speak of) would understand. Sometimes we consider ourselves a whole nother level above those we consider to be normal. Do you know how aggravating it is trying to find someone to carry on a intelligent conversation with? By the way, im not really an asshole like i may sound, just trying to give you a real answer.

It depends what and how they boast on their intelligence. Basically these people are often very proud of their oppinions and thinking, very often never give much thoughts on what others think and feel. Annoyed, yes. But not so much of hatred. Just be yourself and if they don't accept the way you are, leave things as they are. Furthermore, they're not that intelligent anyway to think that way i suppose. Be cool and they'll come to learn their ways when the time comes.

I hate poeple like that so much but i think sometimes they arent trying to act like it. For example (not to brag) im very intelligent and sometimes i look like a showoff when im just trying to make sure people know whats right. Liek when i coprrect soemthing someone says about a scientific topic or such. I just dont want anyone to be confused.

It's very annoying when someone who could be humble has to be obnoxious. Many people think that because they have a certain degree(s) that they are wonderful. Meanwhile, what they don't realize is there's always someone better. Thus, being humble is not in their category. A shame really....

Intelligence and insight are good things. I appreciate listening to someone who has a good head on their shoulders and think it is okay for them to be proud when they have worked hard to gather information and develop expertise. It is annoying when people try to take shortcuts and present themselves as knowledgeable when they really are not.

No, Love of knowledge is not something to be discriminated against. the ancient Mayans found intelligence a Deity proving mechanism, thus your point is moot.

thank you, I am very smart.

Yes You have to find it funny though. It only shows the actual fact that they really aren't all that smart. Isn't it funny when you prove someone like that wrong? You can show them proof like the dictionary, encyclopedia etc and... they say .......Well how do you know that's right? lol
