And while were at it, shouldn't he get a Purple Heart for his paper cuts as a result of signing all those forms to put at the top of the list of all those others who were afraid to serve in Vietnam?

Muddle of Freedom. I like it. By all means he should have it, but what would the medal look like?

No. Oh yes the wilds of Alabama were so harmful..nothing like those poor souls that were over in Vietnam.. they had it easy in comparison. Bush has done nothing to deserve any medals.

My father is a Korean War vet who's military records were lost in the St. Louis fire which destroyed a number of army personnel records from WWII, Korea & Vietnam. I have been in a paper chase for two years to get my father the two Purple Hearts he has coming to him (shot twice in the line of duty - frontline medic the entire Korean War). Now if Bush gets a medal for doing National Guard duty in Alabama and my 76 yr old father can't get his two Purple Hearts for serving his country and getting shot for it then something is seriously wrong with our priorities.

I have information via unnamed sources that the National Inquisitor will soon report a story about George's activities while stationed in Alabama. The story makes mention of Bush's little known participation on the University of Alabama's cheerleading squad. Our president's position as bottom man on the infamous cheerleading pyramid is worthy of award and this information should be made public. Since he also was injured while lifting, consideration should be made to reward that also.

He should be definitely be given the Medal. He is the only who was able to avoid duty like the plague but still be a soldier. Im proud to call him my president.

"W" Shouldn't be given any accolade, he should be tried in a world court for crimes against humanity. For destabilizing the whole of the middle east, and causing the deaths of untold millions of people. His absolute arrogance and incompetence may have started WW III.
