I am completely unfamiliar with "smegma"---but found this:
"Smegma is probably the most misunderstood, most unjustifiably maligned substance in nature. Smegma is clean, not dirty, and is beneficial and necessary. So . . . your gf likes the smegma when giving oral sex? That's really weird. But there's no inherent danger just because there's smegma. Still, kinda weird.

Oh, there is nothing like a good smegma sandwich. Layer it heavily on bread with some swiss cheese and mayo, then grill it on each side until the cheese gets melty and enjoy! YUM YUM.

Smegma is a collection of dead skin, skin oils, moisture and bacteria. The moisture and collection of bacteria makes it a prime spot for bacterial infection growth, so I'd reccomend washing it off on a regular basis instead of letting it collect.
