Yahoo hopes more people will come here to ask Yahoo related questions, even though you can ask anything. Yahoo knows most people have figured out their customer rarely answers anything right, sends back form letters or copies and pastes responses from the help pages. I once asked a question about Yahoo Groups and got a form answer that didn't apply. Over a year and a half I tried again and again and noted each time how many times I had asked before. After having emailed Yahoo customer service 36 times for the same question- I gave up. I might ask it here.

The point of this is to have some fun and learn things. It is also here to help others who have questions and are looking for answers.
The points themselves have no value. It's just a game you play against yourself. Trying to better yourself. It's prestige!!!! It's also addictive to alot of us here!!!!

its the pleasure of maybe knowing something that others don't know. Some of us think we are know it alls. So, answering someones question is quite pleasurable to us. Being able to help someone out is also pleasurable to us. Not all us of have to get paid or intoxicated to participate in lifes little pleasures...
