You make a mixture of 10 parts water, 1 part bleach. Unless your hands can handle the bleach (mine can), wear gloves.
Using a sharp knife, dig a hole of the center of the bulb. Dunk for about an hour. Dead bugs, cauterized wound. Plant.

Try washing them off and drying them then put them in a bag and keep in a dry cool place and check on them once in a while to see if the bugs come back, but I am sure you can just wash the bugs off and then it will take care of that but you dont need to put them back in the ground till next spring....

Yes! screw them into a socket on turn it on for a few min., should do the trick. But I don't understand why you bury your bulbs in the first place?
