Human beings in general should top your list.

The nature of the human being at it's most primitive core is one of conflict. Individual conflicts, (verbal and beyond); wars; and to a more civilized extent, competion thru sports and other contests of physical or mental prowess and skill - all are throwbacks to our ancient need to assert ourselves for hunting and killing of food, to acquire or defend territory, breeding rights, or merely physical defense. Modern reasons for conflict are often easily traceable to wide-scale versions of these original motivations, i.e. nations expanding their influence or territories, acquisition of resources, etc, etc.

The excuse of religious differences is the most baffling, and is often a thin veil that is used to justify issues whose origins are still the same, deep down.

Human beings will be like this for many, many generations to come. The nation, group, or religious sect they represent is incidental and likely to change, but the behavior will remain so long as any refuse to acccept it's origin and mentally exert control over it... or until we finally evolve out of it.
