We are experiencing an emptiness that person filled deep inside. Each person that we love and care for that dies takes a little piece of us with them. They are not forgotten or replaced by anyone else.

Because they know they will never see that person again. They'll never talk to them, hear them laugh, grow old with them... My friend died last February, and knowing that I've missed out on all that with him is something to weep for

We are supposed to cry when someone is born but rejoice when they pass away. We do it in the reverse. We celebrate new life and mourn the passing. We cry for selfish reasons...because we will miss that person. We should be thankful that they are at rest if they were at peace with God. We will all be joined again someday. I don't understand it either.

It's an physical manifestaion of pain and sorrow over the loss. It's also a way to release one's emotions and tension. Some cultures put on huge, almost pageant-like, displays of mourning and others do not cry at all.

now exists an emptiness in that you cannot touch them physically again for the rest of your earhtly life....it's the little place in someone'' heart where Satan has free ground to instill some fear...while you are weak...
a weak person will let the fear ingulf them and take wheel of their life
a strong person will still cry but still realize that they will see that person again and move on for the time being even if it takes years ( no choice but to trust God)

It's called greiving. If you didn't cry after someone you loved or cared about died then I would say that you have issues and need to sort out your feelings.
