by not asking that kind of questions?

honestly. intelligence isn't about memory or culture, it's about the way you look at things and how you decide to act upon them. You don't have to read to learn or do anything like that. You only have to be calm and always decide what's best. Not necessarily what feels good. (decide what's best from the most objective point of view you can achieve, then)
I mean, even if you do "stupid" stuff all the time, if you do them because you thought at the time that it was the best thing to do and that you had tried to anticipate all possible outcomes, then you ARE intelligent.

Intelligence isn't something we have any control over. IQ is something that usually remains stable throughout life and can't be "built" upon. It CAN be damaged though.

BUT you CAN become more learned, more experienced, more knowledgeable. Oftentimes, THIS is confused with intelligence. Intelligence is more your internal ability to discern, reason, etc. whereas knowledgeable is the acquisition of knowledge.

Learn a little about a wide variety of topics. That way, you'll always know a little bit about a lot and can fit in pretty much anywhere.

Read intelligent books and strive to understand them. Eat a proper diet. Get plenty of exercise and sleep. Don't smoke. Meditiate and be mindful of your actions. Exchange ideas with others, either in person or online. Keep your mind open to creative ideas. Some of the best thinkers were also very creative.

All of these aspects work in harmony with each other to make you a super-intelligent being!

Reading is wonderful for gaining knowledge. As far as intelligence goes, you're born with a specific amount; An IQ if you will. Don't bash your head into anything, don't drink, and don't do drugs- these will help you retain your intelligence as it is. But to gain knowledge, you should read. Mental_Floss books are particularly good for gaining knowlege.
