I cant find it in the shop and until i can get my carpet cleaner back, I wondered if there was something similar to shake and vac i could sprinkle on my carpets and then vac up to make them smell a bit nicer ???

you can get vac freshners from things like betterware (u know, those annoying catalogues that comes thru the door!)
if not, try sprinkling a little bit of washing powder or talc on the carpet! only lightly though!!! then when u hoover it up, it should smell nice!!

nutroledole do a powder like shake and vac, but in my opinion its better, they do two fragrances summer flowers or original, original is the best, they do a wide range of items in the nutrodole range, airfreseners, in vac sacets to place inside your vacume there very good and last a while, try it i use them, and my husband smokes and i dont and find they help.
and they leave the rooms smelling great afterwards and it lasts quite a while the freshness

Bicarb of soda will absorb any smells, sprinkle leave for half an hour or work into the carpet and vaccum off.

try bicarbonate of soda, just brush it in and leave it for a couple of hours and hoover out. works as well as shake and vac, its espially good at getting rid of lingersing smells like wet dog or spilled milk.

oust do a foam spray in different fragrances just spray and leave to dry you don't need to hoover afterwards
