The art work is very original. Its not just painting but its sorta like mirror art. In which little cut pieces of mirror is pasted onto the main image (peacock) instead of painting the picture. Therefore only the background is painted but the actual image is mirror.

I would check into craft shows in your area - some charge $25-$75 a spot, so you'll have to make sure its worth it to be a vendor. It's good to have about 20-50 pieces to sell (all that are a little bit different), order forms, and business cards. You may want to have a website, too - so that when people who stop by your booth to see your work like it but didn't bring money with them, they can buy it online as well.

I would also try going to independently owned stores (forget the chains for now) and see if the owner would allow you to sell your stuff there on a commission/cosignment basis.

I would also see what local art groups are in your area - networking with others is a great way to make sales, contacts and friends, and ideas on promoting yourself for profit!

you might also want to try the forum for business owners on www.craftster.org

good luck!!

I would suggest looking for a small local art gallery, that would be willing to show some of your work. At a minimum you will need some good, properly lighted photographs of your work. If there's any interest, they will ask you to bring in an original for them to look at.
