Ive been dating a guy for 2years but the first time my dad heard of it he snapped. He and my mother are divorced. But he has been saying that when he catches him he is going to kill him. How can i prevent my boyfriend from getting hurt?

Your dad's sense of insecurity may result from the divorce. He has lost your mom, and is afraid that he is going to lose his little girl once you start dating somebody. On the other hand, you could be very young, and have no experience in relationships. Your dad is just doing a fatherly duty to protect his innocent little girl but has overreacted. I don't know if there is a possibility to bring the three of you together to have a open talk, to find out what your dad is worried about in your relationship and what he expects, what your boyfriend can do to ensure him that no harm can be done to you. I would also suggest to have this talk in a public place, such as a small restaurant, just in case your dad snaps again, there are other people around so nobody gets hurt.

What have not you told? Why would your dad want to kill someone? What did your boyfriend do?
Talk to your father, if you really believe he is capable of doing something like that, you better know why. Talk to your boyfriend too, get the facts, why the animosity?
Your boyfriend may want to contact the police, since a threat has been aired. Maybe a good chat with a lawyer or police officer will calm your father down.

Hi Miss.First u will have to do is u should talk to u r father give him assurity that the guy u know is right &best 4 u.Talk about his quality why u like him.Also ask u r father that this is my life i know very well what is wrong &what is right.Plz talk with him very politely & be with confidence.

You shouldn't have kept that guy a secret from your father. 2 years? you need to make your father trust you again, tell him how good to you your guy is. The killing depends on what your guy did.
