Your body doesn't digest food well while sleeping. That's when it's supposed to be doing cell regeneration and bone growth (especially if you're an adolescent during a growth spurt). If you have eaten and your body has to digest food, it has to take resources away from the things it's supposed to be doing.

Plus, you also won't sleep well while digesting food.

Its not good to eat right before bedtime, especially if you have a weight problem. But even if you are thin some people have food back up into their throat causing acid burns to the esphogus and throat. Its called hiatal hernia. Or you could have a defective valve. Even if you are healthy, the calories don't get used if you are lying in bed and you will not be healthy later on. Should eat no later then two hours before bed.

It is coz when you sleep your organs start to work slow therefore it may be possible that the food would not get properly digested. I suggest you to take atleast 2 hours gap between meal and going to bed otherwise you may feel gas or acidity or constipation....Keep eyes on clock dear
