You have to resolve the issue within yourself. Everyone handles things differently. Trying to tell someone "don't think about it." isn't helpful because you will think about the situation that occurred to cause you to end your friendship. You may run into your friend at a mall or somewhere else. You may not talk to them but the situation that happened will start to play back in your mind. When this happens it's best to say to yourself "it's over...there's no reason to be thinking about this." and start thinking or doing something to help put your thoughts on something else. However, if I may, one word of advice....I don't know what happened, but if the situation that caused the friendship to end can be resolved, then resolve it. You can still be amicable towards one another and not carry a lot of pent up hostillity inside. If it can't, move on with your life. Don't dwell on the negatives because they will weigh you down needlessly.

First of all, you're not telling us why you're mad at him/her.
I'd suggest the following:
Sit back, relax and think what happened and made you so angry about it.
Then think all the stuff you've been through with your friend.
Then value the importance of all that and see if what happened worthies spoiling your friendship.
If you come to the conclusion that it does, then go on with your life, no hard feelings.
Yet, I believe, if he's a true friend, he deserves a second chance, or at least a chance to be told what has bothered you that much with an opportunity to apologize.

wow! something similar just happened to me. but with about 4 bestfriends. i had two (who are the most mad) just told me not to really ever talk to them again, and i had to are telling me what i did and blablabla (not like i did any of that crap). and, these really arent the nicest of ways.
i cooled my anger by hanging out with a best friend who doesnt even GO to my school so we talked more about tv and stuff. it was nice hanging out with her. i also let out some anger by writing in my blog. whenever i get really mad or sad, i like to write about it. and in a blog, diary, etc, no one trys to stop you from telling the truth or anything. you just write what you want.
to get a blog. ----> http://360.yahoo.com
note: you can have your blog and/or page to be viewed by anyone, friends, or you.

Time heals all wounds! Just give yourself some time to put this between you and your best friend. Don"t act ugly toward your friend. Be respectful to yourself.Keep your hurt to yourself. If you have another good friend talk to this friend.
