I've talked to a few flight attendants and I basically get the answer that their schedules are highly irregular (based on flight schedules obviously) and the hours are awful. Sometimes they work nights, sometimes days, sometimes both in one week, sometimes 16-hour shifts.
Oh, and one other little perk - you don't get paid while you're sitting on the ground. You only are paid while you're in the air. So if your flight gets delayed and you have to sit in the terminal for 4 hours, you're doing it for free.
It sounds like an unrewarding job to me, unless you just really love the lifestyle.

Fight Attendants dont' always get enohgh air time and that is where the money is. No airflight no cash.
It usually runsall week and they get two days off and sometimes when there is adealy they can fool around and that's where I met a Flight attendant. She would visit me when she in Tampa. Its a cool job, but like she told me if your not flying your not making money.

as far as i know they fly often, for example they have standard day offs that must be at least 8 times a month and from there if they're not flying they're either Standby or Available. but it depends on the airline.
