I did defrost the frdige/freezer and vaccumed the bottom and rear.
I turned on the fridge/freezer yesterday, and today I do see that frost is again showing in the freezer.
The ice maker did produce a small amount of ice, but not as much as it usually has in the past.
What may be the problem? What is best solution?
Thanks

The fridge is frostfree. This problem has recently occurred.

well, if you have an old type fridge, they are not equip with automatic defrosting, so it's perfectly normal.

Humidity.
Sounds like you have a leak in the rubber seal around the door. This would let out some of the cold, and let in humidity...which causes all the frost. Check the seal's condition, and look all around it when the door is in the closed position to see if it's sealed all the way around. This seal can be easily and cheaply replaced. Just visit your local appliance parts dealer, along with the make, model, and serial number of the fridge.

If it's not a frost free freezer this is going to happen. My deep freezer and my parent's upright freezer do the same things. You're just going to have to defrost the thing every 6 months to a year or go buy a frost free model.

check your defrost timer, it should be located on the bottom of your fridge. If that timer isnt working, your defrost cycle wont run. You can take a screwdriver and turn it till you hear a click. That should start the cycle. The make and model of your unit can be a factor too, Mine was a maytag and it cost me about 65 bucks to fix it.

I assumed you turned down the freezer knob to adjust coldness; and you have the food arranged so there's an even flow of air so the cold isn't just staying in a certain area...try this...after you've removed the buildup, try spraying some regular cooking spray; this should stop any buildup...

The frost comes from the humidity in the air. You may have a small leak in the gasket surrounding the door.

You need a new seal on your freezer door. It's leaking. That's what causes a quick frost build-up.

I agree with the leaky seal. I ve heard that if you put a little cooking oil on the rubber seal it will fix the problem
