our house is listed as being built in1952,but we have found they used square nails.is this possible?

this is in our wood braces and subflooring

I should of added that they are iron or other rustable metal

Any possibility the numbers could have been transposed-- 1925?

Sounds like cement nails were used.

you can still buy square nails today. i suppose someone could have had a keg of old nails laying around in 52............
