What ages are we discussing here? Younger boys tend to pick on the girls they like because they (the boys) don't want their friends thinking they like "some girl." It's the only way they know to get the girl's attention. Maybe this girl already knows that about boys and saw right through it, so this boy stopped with the act.....?

As long as it's not violent fighting that's ok. People do make up.
