Suggestions on a choice of shoes with a white linen suit? this is a very important event that needs me to be dressed in professional attire. it is being held in Miami, FL. please help me on the style, color, etc. I will be wearing a long sleeve coral silk shirt with the suit.

You said Professional but you never said what NECK apparel you are wearing or what Color the Tie was? Is there a matching handkerchief with the tie or is that also another thing to bring out the entire "look"
your shirt is coral so with linen your talking warm tones (black is not a the BEST idea because it's more for the cooler tones but it does go with everything and with some person's it's the best for their particular style), however, a shade brown is better but it's up to how it all coordinates with your tie? So I can only say if the tie has any black, go with black but if it doesn't you bring ou a dark color shoe that has a color that goes with the tie, if nothing then brown is your best choice.

A beige dress shoe would work, but might be too "dressed up". I think a caramel-colored loafer, kinda Todds-style if you've heard of the brand.
By all means DON'T wear white shoes, nor flip-flops even if they're dressy. Flip-flops are way too casual. And white is just, well, yuck!
