After to shower rub your body down with baby oil and gently pat yourself dry. Occasionally take an oil bath. Get into the habit of lotion everyday. if you have a foot problem , use petroleum jelly at night and put on a pair of socks. You won't believe it in the morning.
Good luck

Make sure you take off all the dead skin on your feet, (exfoliate), but simply rubbing or scraping them when you get out of the bath. The apply lotion but remember that it might make your feet slippery for awhile. You can also apply lotion before bed and put footies on to hold the lotion next to your skin longer.
If your heels are cracking that could be a sign of a fungus infestation or even an under-active thyroid.

i think you meant on your feet...
it looks worse after a bath, but it will go back down to normal overnight when the skin dries out. my boyfriend has REALLY dry feet, i think it's almost some kind of infection. every night we put "neutrogena norwegian formula foot cream" on his feet, put a cotton sock over it (he sleeps in them).
i really helps...if you have toenail fungus too, try some kind of ointment like Sixtuwohl products.
if it's super serious, i think you can visit a doctor and get medication that will help things from the inside out...hehe. good luck!

Oatmeal baths!
My daughter used to have extremely bad eczema and I think it was Aveeno that has sachets of oatmeal that can be added to your bath leaving skin very soft!

showers are better than baths for that reason. if you hate showers (a lot of people do) dont use any bubble baths etc) for moisturizors try using products with absolutely no perfume in them . We use lubriderm unscented.

They have this thing in the drug store for feet, it's like a cheese greater on one side and a file on the other. Soak in the tub for awhile and then use that on your feet, it really works. BUT--be very careful, use the file side more that the other because you can really go deep with that thing and then it hurts for days!
