no. the only ting that determines the sex of the baby is the man's sperm. all sperm have either XY (male) or XX (female) chromosomes. that is what determines sex of the baby.

hotmamma you're wrong....it is strictly the man's sperm. caffiene, salt, stress, and night or day have nothing to do with it... the egg doesn't pick and choose which sperm to let in based on how much salt you ate that day or how stressed out the dad was when his sperm were released....

No. Determination of sex is based on many other factors.

woman's diet - believe it or not, whether or not a woman drinks a lot of caffeine or the amount of salt in their diet will be a deciding factor of sex.

father's stress level - it's been known that airline pilots tend to make more girls

time of day - whether you conceive in the day or night can determine sex

sexual position - i think this one is most definitely true, after having 3 boys, now being pregnant with 2 more.

There are many other factors in determining sex of the baby. A blood type will not, the only thing that women have to watch for is that some blood types don't mix well (negatives).

There's books on this now. I've never read one in full. I think they're called "how to make a boy/girl"

I guess what you're asking is whether a man's blood type can yield more Y sperm or X sperm in a single ejaculation, rather than ejaculate half of each (50/50). I do not know the answer.

However it is interesting that:
Y sperm (which will create male) swim faster.
X sperm (which will create female) live longer.

Therefore you can tip the scale slightly towards one or the other by following the menstrual cycle...if you have sex right before the time of conception, you are *slightly* more likely to have a boy because those sperm will swim fast, in time for conception. On the other hand, if you have sex right after time of conception, you are *slightly* more likely to have a girl because those sperm will live through the whole cycle until next time of conception.
