If Science is a secta, yes.
Dont generilize the term. Scientists just create knowledge.
What the rest of humans do with the knowledge is the problem. Not science itself.

Yes i agree with you. But the end of the world will not be mostly because of science but also because of the sins done by people. so science will play a small role in the destruction of the world.

Science has stimulated the creativity and the genius of man. It gave him more thinga than the mankind has expected and drastically changed his way of living. so he sticks to it for every reason. It is good to use Science for the welfare of mankind, but most of the times, there are two sides of a coin. With advantages also comes disadvantages.
We need to keep a check on ourselves by analysing which products or inventions are becoming the causes for human destruction in future and should use them with care and concern, rather than going on producing them for our business growth or something else. If no check is done, we are headed to destruction all by our own inventions and discoveries made in Science
