all the new metal bands sound alike and they all suck examples atreyu aiden under oath it dies today and many more
i thoght that bands are supposed to have their own origianal sound why do people like these bands? and when did combovers become cool?

Hey man, Atryu and Aiden 'aint even Metal. It's just a load of feckin' emo bands that have somehow managed to slip under the Metal radar.
Screw these bands. I would rather listen to Pantera any day.
There is a lot of good Metal stuff out like Nile, Behemoth, Wednesday 13 (more rock though?).
What about the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal (NWOAMH) ?
Just ignore this crap and try and hunt down the good stuff!

ok ever hear of a thing call trends in music. Look at the 70's bands, then look at all the 80's hair bands. Also when a sound is selling music labels will 'cookie cut' other bands with similar sounds to make more money.

Green Day is a band of today? Their most recent album is... but they have been around for 20 years!

There are a few new ones out there I like but I do find myself listening to my old CD's quite a bit.
Tool's new release is killer.
I do like Flyleaf, but they aren't metal.
Of course it's different strokes you know.

i know what you mean, and some bands have music that just SOUNDS TERRIBLE, system of a down *cough* but band like metal church(NEW ALBUM), metallica, megadeth still have their own sound. you just ogtta find the good metal. black sabbath is sure to make some amazing albums soon.

frankly, I have been saying this for awhile...they have no soul, they are voiceless, repetitious- no sound of their own, and totally out for self-gratification. Where is the meaning and the connection with the past???? Be a pioneer....give me the late 60s, 70s, and early 80s music; now that is music man......

Don't talk about Underoath.I love that band!!
And if you think they all sound the same,then you should probaly end up listening to Hilary Duff.She has her own original sound.

I agree totally.. I do not know what the purpose is of/for the bands of today. I turn them off immediately when I hear them.
