Concrete Anchors Lowes

Make sure you used pressure-treated 2 x 4's on the floor. It's a code requirement. If you use wood studs for the walls, make sure the wall studs are NOT pressure-treated. Also a code requirement. To secure the pressure-treated 2x4s to the floor, use concrete nails and a hammer or you can go over to Home Depot or Lowes and get a concrete nail gun. Uses a .22 caliber charge to shoot a nail. I'm not talking about a pneumatic nail gun. This is a one-shot, then reload device. Just to add one other thing.............you NEVER use lag bolts to put into a concrete floor when building walls to finish a basement. I saw one of the answers here suggest that. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Hilti or Ramset will shoot a nail through your 2x4 into your concrete floor. You can also buy Tapcon screws and use a hammer drill (3/8' to 1/2" drive minimum) to just screw them to the floor. The tapcons are made to penetrate the concrete. Good luck

Using concrete nails or powder actuated guns are your best bet but I will also suggest using construction adhesive made for concrete and wood applications. When installing your wall studs Cut them just a hair longer and hammer them in and the extra downward pressure will also help create a better bond. Good luck.

3 ways I can think of....1.Nails made for concrete, they're called cut nails, they are square. 2. Anchors, but you need a hammer drill. 3. Shoot them down Hilti makes a tool for that, you could probably rent one. They use 22 calibur shot, so if you don't like guns I wouldn,t use that.
However you choose I'd put tarpaperuncer them and use preasure treated wood. just the bottom ones.

You can rent a nail driver that uses small 22 cal. cartidges to "shoot" the nails through the wood into the concrete. Or you can purchase specific nails that can be manually hammered into the concrete. Shooting the nails are easier and alot more fun. Ask a professional at your local hardware store about the equipment though. Good luck

Lag bolts and concrete anchors. Drill the cement with a masonry bit, put in the anchor. Drill the 2x4 put lag bolt thru and into anchor in wall.

Go to the home center and ask them to show you a Remington nailer. I don't think they are too expensive. Also try Tapcon concrete screws. The remington nailer is the easiest. Make sure you use treated 2x4's for your bottom wall plate.
