You need to go to a doctor. Excedrin Migraine is really just plain old Excedrin in a different bottle (marketing ploy).
You should be evaluated & if you do have migraines, Triptans (sumatriptan is one of them, someone else mentioned) are amazing...
but your primary doctor or a neurologist will have to prescribe them.
Topamax will also help reduce the frequency and intensity of migraines if you get them a lot.

Excedrin works best for migraines if you are looking to buy an over the counter medicine. There is also a product called Head On. It comes in a tube (like a chapstick but bigger). You appoly the ointment to your forehead & it creates a warm & tingly feeling. I have used both at the same time for the big migraines & together they work for me.

For me, OTC treatments don't work. Excedrin Migraine tends to make me more nauseous. The only thing that has ever really worked for me is Fioricet. It literally gets rid of the migraine within 20 minutes of taking it. It can be addictive, but I didn't have any problems with it. If you don't have insurance, don't worry, it only costs about $15 for a bottle of 20. I hope you get rid of your migraine!

I have migraines too. Imitrex works wonders but it's very expensive about $256 for 9 pills. I also take Topamax to help prevent them. The doctor also gives me Vicodin to take to help the pain. Good luck because I know a headache is more painful than having a baby or kidney stones. I've had both and headaches are worse. 2D

I think this changes from person to person, but I find the best way to treat my headaches is with Ibuprofen, a dark room, and quiet. I think excedrin makes a special pain reliever for migraines, but I've never tried it.
