I am really curious, since when I was young I always hear that question.

NOT AS WE KNOW IT

Yes I believe there is life after death, though not in the sense that you are living as the same entity that you once was. I am not religious, so my belief is that when you die, your brain stops functioning and your "conscious self" no longer exists. However, at the very instance that you loses consciousness, a new born somewhere around the world will gain consciousness. Don't mistake it as reincarnation though, my line of thought is different because once you die, that's the end of it and nothing is "passed on" to your next life. Ask yourself these two questions:

1) When you are sleeping, you dream about stuff, "seeing" things that appear real to you. However, these images are just the workings of your brain. So imagine that your brain stops functioning when you sleep, what will you "see"?

2) Can you actually recall the time that you gained self-awareness and consciousness, when you are a little kid? Do you remember anything about being in your mother's womb? No, because at that point you don't even know what you look like. You know what other people look like, but you can't develop self-consciousness until you are aware of self.

Once you have a sense of self, you know that you are you, your feelings, senses and thoughts belong to you and only you, the same way that you cannot access other people's mind. At that point, you will call yourself "I", yet this "I" has no relationship with the "I" that someone else carries before they die. For every single person, there is only one "I", so if there is a chance that you can abandon your current self and become someone else, then you cannot tell the difference between the two selves, because from your perspective, there is only one "I" at all time.

Oh gosh, it's so hard to explain. sorry if anyone doesn't understand what I am saying

Yes, I find that question fascinating too. Unfortunately, there is no evidence for or against this. Some people claim to have encountered spirits or have had near death experiences. I had a NDE once and I actually perceived 'myself' floating above the bed while asleep. Creepy! Could have been a very 'realistic' nightmare. And I assure you I do not drink or take drugs of any sort - although that would explain the 'floating' feeling. LOL. It made me wonder whether 'we' can possibly separate 'ourselves' from the physical body?

However, I believe that almost every religion in the world teaches us that there is an indestructible soul and that 'it' will receive 'rewards' or 'punishment' for things we do in our physical bodies. From this we can conclude that at least some people strongly believe in life after death.

According to the physical law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be created or destroyed but can change its form. In modern physics all forms of energy exhibit mass and all mass is a form of energy. Let us suppose we can apply this to death, then we could conclude that death is a condition under which there a is change in the form of 'life energy'.

However, in the absence of any experimental evidence such speculations are exactly that - speculations.

I guess that did not answer you question. But I will end the 'lecture' here. Keep thinking!

A lot of people don't, but I believe there is definitely a life after death. There is no way to deny that there is not a God. I believe that God is Jesus Christ, the holy spirit, and God the father. Jesus made a way for us to have eternal life with him. Or else after death we would all go to Hell. God didn't want that, and so he died for our sins. That's why we can go to heaven a join him in glory. Only if we accept his grace. So I totally believe there is life after death. What would be the point of living if there was no hope?

There is some evidence that our spirits live on after death. EVP and Spirit Photography are good examples. Think about all the Ghost and Paranormal sightings all over the world. If these spirits exist then there is an afterlife. Religion itselfs plays no part in that.

Give a good and deep thought to the life cycle

You plant seeds and grow vegetables and fruits and go on doing the same thing from the seed of the grown plant and again from the fruits you ate and you can go doing it time and time until you are no more

You have sex and babies are born ... the more you do you more you can create every year until you reach an age you can no more but what you have created will take the relay and continue to create

How about that .... simple no

I forgot where I found this (might have been a film) but the characters where talking about how all energy is transferred from one thing to another, and never gets greater or lessens, it just changes. So I guess in a way you could say, the energy going through us and powering us will always be here, and will be transferred. It reminds me of the Lion King (Was it the Lion King?) where they were talking about becoming the grass :)

Hi..
I guess: I believe in life after death in heaven.. if you make it there..

I don't believe we can come back as a grasshopper, or a cat or something... Sometimes I like to think about that as a concept, and how funny it might be if someone came back as an animal and lived with an owner that treated them the same as they treated their pets in their former life.... That would be fair and just I think... But this is just talk...not a belief. :)

My regards!;)

Yes...and I have evidence of it. We are spirits...we have souls...and a consciousness that lives after our physical departure from the material world. It is a drop of water in a vast sea consisting of infinity and beyond...and when combined...it becomes what we call God....which can only be known through all parts of the whole...beginning with one's "self"...and then broadened to include those who come into your life...and those who leave it...and those you do not know yet.

Yes there is but don't go looking thousands of years back for answers. There's many books channeled from other dimensions, near death experiences, and other newer authors that will give you some clue.

People believe your soul get recycled. People also believe you go to heaven or hell after death. People believe you could be in paradise now. How you get there depends on how you live your life now.

So the answer is a moving target. To specific people it could be yes, no, or maybe.
