I love Mercury. He was so freaking cool in his voice. His stage presents was un matched..

There will never come a day when a performer can entertain us with the same stage presence that Fred Mercury did! His voice was amazing! The notes he hit and the strength of his voice mesmerize me everytime I hear his music. He was able to mask his pain and suffering behind his talent. He is truley what legends are made of. I enjoy his music...my children do and now my grandchildren...three generations and it keeps on going!

Bob Marley wasn't a really taented musician like Mercury but he with his music tried to deliver a message. He was a political singer and he wanted to make a difference.
Both of them achieved great things but Marley tried to deliver a message while Freddie Mercury was just Freddie Mercury

I like both but would give the nod to Bob Marley for his music though to his credit Freddie Mercury likely had the better stage show .

Freddy Mercury was a talented songwriter and showman. Bob Marley was a revolutionary and inspired many people with his music. They were both talented. But I have to say that as far as music goes, Freddy Mercury wins.

Freddie Mercury he was born to sing he had a great voice and he wrote all most all his songs that other guy i dont like his crap

they were both pioneers in their own rights...they brought their respective lifestyles to the public of america (all of a sudden people knew what a rasta was and, surprise!, freddie mercury was gay...leading millions to go...damn i like a gay guy)
i own a ton of marley albums and no queen, but i'd say mercury had more range of what he could do.

I don't like Queen much, it was too much "show" music fo me. I listen to Bob Marley all the time, it's soothing and very mellow. In my way of thinking, I wouldn't compare the two, it's not apples and oranges, it's mangos and steaks.
