both made me cringe. But I hate anything funky happening with my teeth. So I'll got with the chalkboard

I would rather scratch my nails on a chalkboard because it doesn't even bother me but chewing tinfoil sounds bad. I also hate it when two pieces of utensils scrape together or against your teeth. I would imagine chewing tinfoil would bother me because of that.
