Some will, some won't. It's our nature I think. We are all different and some of the good folk can't see eye to eye. Makes it interesting though. I want you to be who ever you are, I don't have to agree with you but I'd never want to change you or anyone else for that matter. We'd lose ourselves if we were all the same, yet I've found that as far apart on issues and thinking as we may be we all are similar in other ways. Part of the fun of being human I guess. Hey, I hope you have a great day, no matter what you think. take care.

Your answer lies partially in your question "why" (not how) "we all" (not I) "just" (not completely) "get along" (not live in harmony).
After centuries of conflict, the answer seems clear, those who create the conflict don't want to.
So right off the bat, we see we are individuals, by design we are aware, first off, of ourselves and we learn about everyone else the same way we learn about the properties of water, an animal, or the sky - through our senses. Everyone else is an object to us. For a society to exist, we have to percieve more of each other on a very high level. Outside of ESP, the next best mode is language. We would need to speak the same language.
But fundamentally we would need to become a different species, which I assume we all know, we are becoming. Teilhard de Chardin had a book - the Phenomenom of Man. We are still evolving.
The short answer: When the individual decides to want to.

Now the better question? "How can I live in harmony?"

Good question and the answer is: we are getting there. it's a small step and will take years but definitely not in our lifetime but we are getting there. If you could just stop what you are doing and observe everything around you, you will notice a significant amount of restlessness in people and it's this massive restlessness that makes some people wonder their life's purpose. when a significant number of people have asked this question, there will be a massive shift in society. i would love to be born again when that time comes

Because in spite of religious belief or non-belief, inspite of racial background, in spite of national origin, there will always be an intelligence gap. There will always be stupid people.

LIVE AND LET LIVE is all it would take. We have failed miserably. We are not worthy of this beautiful world. It is so sad.
