Nothing really Great came out ofthe '80's, in my Opinion.
1980 was the Year John Bonham died & Led Zeppelin disbanded, so that signaled the End of Great Music Forever, for me.
But the New AC/DC Line-up still kicked A**, & Guns N' Roses blew my freakin' Mind!
I'll also admit, my first Concert experience was Def Leppard ('Hysteria' Tour, 1988; Still got the T-Shirt to prove it as well!)
I also thought Twisted Sister & Quiet Riot were pretty cool, too;
& I STILL LOVE Metalica, like you wouldn't believe!
But most of the "Great" Bands from the '80's, were the Ones who started out in the '70's & were still kickin' it, like Aerosmith & Cheap Trick & Queen (Although every Album after 'The Game' really kinda sucked, I must admit!)
But other than that, I'm still more of a '70's Gal, myself!

If it were DURING the 80's, I was in high school and was totally in to the New Wave/Romantic phase..
my total life was Duran Duran!
When I got to College and beyond, it's still 80s music for me, but now it's G n R, Metallica, Def Leppard, AC/DC,Cinderella, Judas Priest...pretty much all of them...
Anything 80's...I'm good.

Alvin and the chipmunks, all you had to do was hit a faster speed on the player and they played any of your favorite tunes, like Dave Mustaine and " the hills ran red" in place of " The four horsemen", yea...just like that ; ) the faster the better...and the C.D is the tool of the devil iii anything you cant play music backwards on has to be forged by lucifer himself !!!
