it did that with myspace this morning on my comp, when i tried to log in it said 'page cannot be displayed'.

well this is 'another site' so how did you get here????
I'll assume your using another pc. The fact you can get to your home page is that the page is cached no your pc. i.e. your computer saved it. So when you access that page it gets it from teh cache on your hard drive rather than the internet.
So probably your internet connection is down.
Reboot your PC see if that works
If your on highspeed reboot the modem and then your pc
Try these and post back if they dont get you going again.

first explain to me how it is that you are asking this question then unless you've managed to make Yahoo answers your home page? from someone else's computer?

Could be spyware, I have had similar probs in the past. Do a spyware, and virus scan on your computer!

may be you have no Internet connection and you see your homepage in off line mode,
or restart you browser.
