He says that he would rather "die on the field" in New York than play somewhere else, so I'm guessing that he does. People forget what he gave up to come here. He took on an entirely new position at third base and actually contended for the gold glove last year! He knew the pressure coming in was going to be tough, and he's finally realizing the extent of it, but I feel he's a perfect fit IF AND ONLY IF the fans get off his back. Otherwise, I see him requesting to be traded as early as this offseason.

Alex has had a very hard time in field and at the plate recently, not playing up to his ability has put him in a bad position in the Yankee organization, and speaking to Alex he has expressed not being traded but instead he would like an interview with Mel Carmizen to try to get a job on The Howard Stern Show on Sirius Radio channel's 100 & 101.

I personally think so. Let me state that I'm not a Yankees fan. In fact they represent everything I don't like about how MLB is set up. With that being said, NY fans need to get off A-Rod's back. The ones that are booing him, that is. Even in a supposedly 'bad' year he is putting up excellent numbers. Yes, he is committing defensive errors. And he has cost them some games. But the positives that he brings to the ballclub far outweigh those errors. Every other team in baseball would love to have him. And if he continues to get mistreated you're going to lose him. Maybe that's what you want though. Be careful what you wish for.

The Gay-Rod will be traded eventually. I don't think anytime soon because everybody has their ups and downs. As long as he doesn't go to Boston

I hope he does.

That way the yankees can stay winless in the world series!
