i have been added by this guy on msn (accidently - wrong email address inputted) and turns out he used to live in the same area and go to the same school as me and was in the same year and class as my older brother...
is this sheer coincidence or something suspicious?
i am on a mission to find out but i dont know what questions to ask him!
any ideas on what i should do to find out?

Dodgy!! Could he have found out the school u went to etc through your profile page on yahoo for instance?
As hard as it is to believe, some men have a little bit of intelligence...well enough to work out from your profile, where u live-then its just a case of going on something like friends reunited to see if u r on there...that way, he'll know a hell of a lot about u! he only needs to check to see if you have brothers/sisters etc and check them out to...then come up with the whole bull$hit story that he seems to be giving u!!
He might be genuine...ask your brother if he knows who the guy is! Surely if they were in the same class at school, he would remember the name if nothing else-if he doesnt, then have a look on friends reunited yourself thru the class he was meant to be in, and see if his name was there?!
Good luck what ever happens, just be a bit careful, theres some complete twats on the internet that get off on this kind thing, sad little boys eh!!

It sounds kind of suspicious, but who knows. Ask your brother about the guy and see if he can give you some questions to ask the guy that he should know answers to.
Make him be specific about the area you live in and really pin him down with the questions.

You can't be too careful these days and this sounds a bit suspicious to me. There's no point in asking questions (unless you're interested in this guy?). Otherwise, just be straight forward and to the point when you request your e-mail address be removed.

If this is a coincidence, it is an amazing coincidence. If I were you, I wouldn't ask him anything, and I'd ignore him. You'll find out if it is a coincidence or not if he tries to contact you. You shouldn't have to contact him, because quite frankly, it sounds creepy.

It sounds like a huge coincidence u should ask him wot he wants then u will soon find out most people who jus randomly add u are after something..... Like exgirlfrinds........ or weirdos who take ur addy from bulk emails....

It depends... did you give out your brother's information and all of a sudden he says,"Wow! I live there too...i go to that school too...i'm in the same grade too...etc." I would stay away from him and don't give out any other personal information.
