A psychiatrist would be the one most qualified to deal with anxiety. A friend of mine had an anxiety disorder too, her psychiatrist helped very much.

Anxiety Disorder is typically something dealt with by a psychiatrist, but feel free to discuss this with your family Doctor, first. He may just prescribe some medication for you & ask you to come back in 6 weeks.

A general practician would be fine. Anxiety disorders ar every common and you don't really need a specialist unless the GP think it is something that needs it.

A psychiatrist to determine if any medicational assistance is needed.
A psychologist/therapist to learn to deal with it appropriately.

talk to your physician and ask her/him for a good referral. Always a good idea to talk to your physician about anything.
