Before my feet even hit the floor I pray for the Lord to keep satan away from me. Then I usually begin humming a praise song that I believe is a gift from the Lord. I love waking up this way---it gives me a fresh start to a new day and I am always so filled with joy.

Thank you Carlos Frigging Santana! Shut, shut, shut up!!!
(my wife's phone is programmed to wake us with a tiny fragment of a Santana song, which is really cool but doesn't cover up the fact that it's morning and the subway and work beckons...)
