Yes. Your money is your own. Keep it to yourself. If you share joint funds, then that money is public knowledge. Your wife shouldn't have a problem with you having a separate savings, and she should have her own as well.
If it is a NEW girlfriend.. the reasons are different. You shouldn't talk about money at all. If that's what she wants you for, then move on and find a better woman.

A GF doesn't need to know anything about your savings but, a wife should be included in all finances.

if she's ur wife or girlfriend u should trust her enough to tell her...and it shouldnt bother her if u have a seperate savings as long as u r doing ur half in the relationship and helping with the expenses...
